Justin and Amanda Orchard welcomed their first child into the world on Friday January 20th at 5:42 PM. It was a little bit of a surprise for him to come as early as he did, but both he and his mother are doing just fine. They have named him Myles J Orchard. He weighed in at 4 lbs 13 oz. and measured up at 18 1/2" long. Justin was also impressed with the size of his feet as they are quite large. They hope to bring him home sometime today as both Myles and Amanda have recovered very quickly. Justin is still trying to decide if he will bring him home in the traditional baby blue boy blanket or if he might proceed with his favorite color of pink. He might just settle for letting Myles listen to music on the car ride home with a pink iPod. Being a new parent is tough enough without needing to make these difficult choices.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Justin. I did think it was weird, however, that you told me you were taking a little pink blanket regardless of the baby's gender. There are other colors than pink, Justin.
