You must decide: cash in and rollovers

Decisions, decisions, decisions. What should I have for breakfast? What should I wear? Paper or Plastic? Should I punch Stephen in the face? Should I tell Matt Lamm what I really think of him? We are constantly bombarded with these difficult choices . . . and today is no different. A crucial choice is now being placed before you. What will you do?

Here are your options:
  1. You can treat your leftover vacation and PTO just like you thought you would at the beginning of the year. That is – you would rollover any PTO you have left and then utilize it by the end of January. If you choose this option – you will not have the ability to change your mind and cash out PTO at the end of January.
  2. You can cash in any remaining PTO or vacation (up to 40 hours) and then rollover up to 16 hours worth of vacation or PTO. This is the plan going forward and we are providing you with the opportunity to choose either one this year.
Here is the kicker. We need to know what you are planning to do by December 24th. Any cash outs must occur on the payroll that is processed on the 28th. For those of you who do not have any PTO or vacation left . . . good news! You won’t have to make this tough decision. For those of you who need to make your choice – please do so by emailing Ben or Jeff (we also accept sticky notes) by December 24th. Thank you and good luck with your difficult task. May you choose wisely!
