If you've been in a coma (or hibernation or simply taking a long nap)for the past five years, you may have failed to notice that web browsers now come with tabs. Tabs make browsing the internet easier. How do they accomplish this?Well here's the idea: while only opening Internet Explorer once, you can open up several tabs inside that instance of Internet Explorer. So let's say you want to open the UPS web site, the CPS home page and SAM. Instantly you may think "Overload, overload! My web browser can't handle more than one web page at a time. I'm going to have to open my web browser 3 times and that's just unnecessary."
Well, think again. Tabbed browsing has been created. First open up Internet Explorer and go to the UPS web site. Then open another tab for the CPS home page and finally another one for SAM.
So how is it done? Well there are a couple of ways to open up a web page in a new tab.Well, think again. Tabbed browsing has been created. First open up Internet Explorer and go to the UPS web site. Then open another tab for the CPS home page and finally another one for SAM.
Now you can open up several web pages at a time and easily flip back and forth between them without having to fire up another instance of Internet Explorer. All you have to do is open a new tab.
- Click the little blank tab next to the current tab you have open.
- Ctrl + T
- Roller click a link (Roller click means to click using the little scroll wheel on your mouse.)
- Right click a link and then select "Open in a new tab".
I realized you can drag your tab from one window to another...that blew my mind :)
