I'm baaaaack! I know that you've missed my cheery posts (it's Keith, btw). Maybe you've enjoyed the reprieve (it's only been 6 months), but the time has come for me to post because I've got something to say! You may have heard the hullabaloo that's been happening over in the South office (if you're in accounting, that's probably the ONLY thing you've heard). Once the cube folks have built up the cubicles, we'll be moving IT from the North office to the South office. Matt Lamm will also be moving offices from his current office to the office next to Tyler.
This new IT area will be called "IT Area" until the IT division comes up with something more creative. If you have recommendations for the "IT Area," please comment below.
In conjunction with this move, I'm very excited to announce that Ty Petersen will be moving into Matt's old office and assuming the role of Director of Marketing. Ty will be overseeing our competitive analysis, internal communications, blogging, video production, social media, marketing campaigns, online contests, writing video scripts, coordinating third party production companies, and anything else he deems necessary to further the cause of CPS marketing, as well as many of the other inane things he is called upon to do, like painting the IT Area with Keith in a Visqueen kimono, moving filing cabinets, coordinating electrician schedules, feeding you once a month, switching refrigerator handles, administering Wii tournaments, refilling soap bottles, and policing the breakroom apple-slicer usage.
Congratulations!

I like how you gave me the 'anything else he deems necessary' clause. I'm totally going to abuse that.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Ty.
ReplyDeleteYea for Ty! You took such good care of us in accounting with the entertainment we have had this week-especially the updates so we knew when to wear layered clothing so we didn't freeze when the doors were open. The treat also helped our attitudes! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteTy, I promise this smell was in my office before I moved in.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, it's only going to get worse once I'm there.
DeleteCall it the PIT - for Persons of Information Technology. And, because that's how it will smell (since Sean will be over there).
ReplyDeleteDeodorant isn't really my thing, ok.
DeleteCongratulations Ty!
ReplyDeleteTy, you will want to avoid rolling around on the carpet in this area. Luke's beard sheds.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Ty!!
ReplyDeleteTy since you are policing the apple slicer usage can you pick up some disinfecting wipes for us to use before we use the apple slicer? The countertops are usually gross in there. Oh and enjoy your black hole on the back wall.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think The PIT is the perfect name for the IT area!
We have disinfectant wipes under the kitchen sink. If you'd like I can come in and spit shine them every morning. Though I've learned over the years that spiting on counters to clean this is apparently not OK with some people.
DeleteCan we make a West office in Middleton? :)
ReplyDeleteSweet deal!! Way to go Ty!! I too agree with this PIT name haha because it's clever not because i think ya'll stink, but I mean if the odor fits ;)
ReplyDeleteI think we should call it the RITZ (Responsive Information Technology Zone)
ReplyDeleteNerdery-The place the nerds stay.
ReplyDeleteCOINED by Richard(David Spade) in Tommy Boy
"My fellow nerds and I will retire to the nerdery with our calculators."
Congrats Ty!! That is awesome
ReplyDeleteI would like to call the area Nerdville and I don't know what it stands for
Nerds Ever Randomly Developing Very Important Logistical Languages erroneously. Sorry it is a stretch!
I remember, way back, when I was a nerd in high school it was a mean thing to say, now it is a compliment.
Nice acronym Todd! Very creative.
DeleteCongrats Ty!
ReplyDeleteTy, Matt Lamm will fill you in on all of the benefits of having me as a next door neighbor. If there was any downside, he would tell you about that too (but there's not). I'm ready to begin teaching you the system of communication with knocking and tapping on the wall Matt and I have perfected. I'm also excited to begin eavesdropping on your private conversations. Matt's have always been B-O-R-I-N-G. That guy needs some drama in his life.
