After I have the sandwich materials then I plan on buying 15 gallons of milk. I can buy soy, skim, 1%, 2% and whole milk. Then I will buy Albertson's cookies and you will be able to dunk your cookies in the milk. If all these options aren't making your mouth water then I guess peanut butter and jelly just ain't for you.
If peanut butter and jelly ain't for you, then you're in luck because we are having Jimmy John's.
What Seth? What did you say? Jimmy John's is correct. I'm sure a few of you are sighing in relief because of the great news and others are feeling disappointed that this peanut butter and jelly dream of mine is not going to become a reality. Please express your opinions in the comments below. Would you like to have a peanut butter and jelly bar for a CPS Luncheon? I am also considering a cold cereal bar. Still working out the details on that one.Alright so time I gave you some deets right? The luncheon is scheduled for Thursday May, 23. We will eat at 12:15 pm. Wear your jeans and causal clothing. Now on to the most important part.
IN ORDER TO EAT YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:
- Visit Jimmy John's online menu: http://www.jimmyjohns.com/menu/menu.aspx
- Select (1) Sandwich or club
- Select (1) type of Chips
- Place order on Google Spreadsheet:
You have until Tuesday the 21st to get this done. If you don't get it done, then I will order you the #3 Totally Tuna sandwich. So if you don't like tuna, it would be wise for you to get it done. I will be providing the cookies and soda.
If you have any problems, questions or concerns please call or email me. If you need help ordering I would be more than happy to come by you desk and help you order. That's what amigos are for. I am really excited for Jimmy John's although a little disappointed that my peanut butter and jelly idea will not become a reality. Again I am curious would you like to have a peanut butter and jelly bar for a CPS Luncheon?

Question: Can I order PB&J from Jimmy John's?
ReplyDeleteI like this question...can we? Guess we'll have to look at the menu...
DeleteNo you can't but go to this link and let me know if you would like to have a peanut butter sandwhich bar: http://strawpoll.me/52734
DeleteHey Seth...so I opened the link in 2 different windows and you can totally vote more than once just sayin...lol I thought it just hadn't recorded my vote, but then the number changed again so yeeea...I voted twice :) not on purpose although I do love me some pb&j!!
DeleteWhen I saw "Peanut Butter and Jelly Bar Luncheon" I thought to myself, "Are we going out of business?" But when I saw all of the varieties I felt better. And when I saw that we're really having Jimmy John's I felt even better. Thank you for all you do Seth!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!
DeleteBAHHHAHAHH! My thoughts exactly Jason! ha!
DeleteI'll take a pistachio butter and huckleberry jelly sandwich on pumpernickel bread, with a tall glass of chilled goats milk
ReplyDeleteYes, this please.
DeleteWell...I'm hoping I did that correctly...if not tuna isn't so bad. Barry, Rinker and Greg will just have to deal with my fish breath the rest of the day hahaha...eeeew
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understand Barry drinks tuna fish milkshakes for protein. Barry correct me if I'm wrong.
DeleteThat's what I heard too
DeleteHmmm...yeah. I typically keep that on the "down low", but you are correct. I developed an allergy to whey protein...so 2 cans of tuna, a blender and some water. Been doing it for years and it's still terrible to drink. But I get the nutrition I want in about 10 seconds
DeleteThat doesn't sound pleasant....
DeleteWhen I was in high school I was anemic and so my friend's dad told me to try an iron and protein shake since I'm not a huge meat eater (even to this day...I will eat meat now and then, but it is so totally hard on my stomach) and the shake had egg whites, spinach, fish oil, a protein powder, and orange juice some other stuff too that I can't remember...well needless to say I started eating steak cooked medium rare to ensure I got both iron and protein just so I would never have to drink that awful shake again! So Bear I have the utmost respect for you being able to not only try the tuna shake, but to continue drinking it even though it doesn't taste the best lol
DeleteBlake really love these shakes too, right Blake? The "Totally Tuna Toss Your Cookies" Shakes..
DeleteI say it would be even better to do a grilled cheese bar. Bree Mango and Ham please. Or pepper Jack and Cranberry Turkey. Man now my mouth is watering.
ReplyDeletemmmmmm now my mouth is watering! That sounds so good! We should totally do a grilled cheese bar! Who doesn't love grilled cheese?!
DeleteI don't like Jimmy John's....DON'T HATE ME! You got my hopes up with the PB & J bar cause I LOVE me some PB & J! ♫♫♫Peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat♫♫♫ (what does that even mean??). I do like Ty's idea too...yum grilled cheese!! I like to have English Clam Chowder with my grilled cheese! :)
ReplyDeleteAll I want is a warm mayonnaise sandwich.
ReplyDeleteDipped in Miracle Whip.
DeleteMiracle Whip is the worst invention of all time
DeleteWith a side of egg salad that has been aged properly by sitting in a car for a week.
DeleteI HATE Miracle Whip...I agree with you Brent.
DeleteIf we have more room in the budget I would also like a ketchup sandwich.
DeleteI'd like an egg sandwich where the egg is cooked in a dirty microwave and placed on whole wheat bread smothered in mayo and mustard.
DeleteSeriously this convo is so funny - I'm trying not to pee myself right now. Don't judge me I've had 4 babies.
DeleteBrenda - I took the liberty of ordering you an Ultimate Porker. You're going to love it!
ReplyDeleteOh wow Jeff, Thanks! By the way, I ordered you the Ultimate, Delectable Veggie Delight with Miracle Whip. It includes celery sticks and pine cones with a chilled seaweed drink on the side. Looks like we both are in for a memorable lunch.
DeleteThe veggie sandwich at JJ's is really good - so there! However, bacon always wins. ALWAYS!!
DeleteWeird. Suddenly all this talk about sandwich variations leaves me no longer hungry...I'm passing on lunch. You're welcome. I'll stick with my traditional lunch of power-blended chocolate goodness. Who doesn't love chocolate?!
ReplyDeleteActually, I'm off that day or I'd TOTALLY love a PP&J sandwich from Jimmy Johns :-) Fantastic idea! Or was that Brent's suggestion of "I'll take a pistachio butter and huckleberry jelly sandwich on pumpernickel bread, with a tall glass of chilled goats milk ". Yeah, that's the one. Maybe next time Seth!
I love Peanut butter & home made strawberry jam, with two slices of Bologna, mustard, Mayo, slice of Cheese, and lettuce and tomato.
ReplyDeleteI use to eat that all the time. I think I would throw in a couple strips of bacon now days. don't knock it until you try it!
Todd, you have won the award for grossest food preferences.
DeleteI actually tried tuna on it once it did not mix to well with the strawberry taste. but bologna yyummm
Delete*cringe*
DeleteMy dad used to make us PB, Banana, and Miracle Whip sandwiches. And if he was left to make us dinner it was usually ramen noodles with ketchup (dad's spaghetti). Thank goodness mom didn't let him make us meals too often.
ReplyDeletehahaha!
Deleteewww
DeleteBest roast beef sandwich I have ever had! Thanks to people with birthdays this month and thank you to Seth for putting together yet another successful lunch!
ReplyDeleteExcellent lunch!!! Thanks Seth and CPS!!!
ReplyDeleteMy bacon lettuce sandwich was GOOD! Thanks for getting it for me! :) Happy Birthday Ya'll!
