Hey everybody! I want to inform you all of some exciting changes that will take place this weekend. We are upgrading MAS 500 to a more current version and moving it to a new server! Both
of these things should increase
performance with our website, SAM, and MAS.
Hooray!
However, when things change we usually see some
problems. We have done many tests and we
feel confident about this change but we don’t know what will happen
until it actually happens. Trust me, if
I had a DeLorean, a flux capacitor, some plutonium, and 1.21 gigawatts I’d take
a trip to next Monday morning and make sure everything was running smoothly. The sad thing is that I only have plutonium
and a flux capacitor. Nevermind. What I’m trying to say is that if you are
experiencing difficulties on Monday morning, please talk to your director and
they can pass any urgent issues on to Sean.
Thank you all for your cooperation.

Matt, don't forget the crystals to make your time travel trip. Plus, this is great news.
ReplyDeleteThis upgrade reminds me of my favorite scene from the Disney cartoon "Bolt". Check out this quick You Tube clip to see what I am referencing.
ReplyDeleteHooray for the MAS 500 upgrade! Matt, if you get your time machine working, do you mind taking a trip with me back to March of 2007? This is when we upgraded to MAS 500originally and implemented SAM. It would be fun to revisit this time. It would be especially fun to watch Jeff McCauley work 90+ hours per week.
ReplyDeleteThat's great. Thanks for all your work and the IT's work on this. That will really boost our output and efficiency. Muchas Gracias!
ReplyDeleteThe difference between MAS 500 and MAS 200 (the MAS we used before March 2007 as Bob stated) is like the difference between a Macbook and a Commodore 64. So it will be exciting to see the new speed. Actually, I wonder how many people here even know what a Commodore 64 is?
ReplyDeleteNot only do I know what a Commodore 64 is, I own one (and it works - at least it did last time I checked)!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention that the new server IS a Commodore 64.
ReplyDeleteI never thought I would say this but MAS is now my friend! Thanks IT people!!!
