Please note the following security protocols. Last week we met with our insurance agent and he recommended that we take some preventative measures to protect our company. These security protocols and policies are applicable to both Idaho and Kentucky locations. Please read this VERY carefully. Every employee needs to be aware of these policies and do their part to help keep our locations safe and secure.Non employees must be accompanied by an employee. Customers, former employees, family members, vendors, truckers, delivery men and all personnel NOT employed by CPS must be accompanied by an employee. Under NO circumstances, is any non employee allowed to wander the premises, especially the warehouse. The purpose of this policy is (1) non employees are our guests and accompanying them is the polite thing to do (2) we need to protect our guests from possible injury, and ourselves from an injury lawsuit.
Naomi, Todd, Stacey and Lorna, please be aware of who is entering the building. Please stop all non-employees and do the following:
- Greet them: "Hi. Welcome to Container & Packaging."
- Ask them to state their business: "How may I help you?" Or, "Are you looking for someone in particular?"
- Help them: "Please wait in our waiting room and I'll track that person down for you." Or, "Please wait in our waiting room while I find out for you."
Customer credit card information storage. Under no circumstances can any employee of CPS store, save, or write down a customer's credit card information without locking it up every night. This is a legal requirement. Any spreadsheets, any files, any handwritten notes, any file of any kind (tangible or electronic) must be destroyed today. If a customer has requested that you keep a credit card on file, the only location that it can be stored is in the Credit Card Binder, which will get locked up every night in the company safe. (Talk to Ben about Credit Card storage and the safe). All employees must comply with this policy. No exceptions.
Secure office area at closing. Be sure to close blinds before leaving work. With lower visibility into the office area, we can reduce possible break-ins.
