CPSU Athletics news: Mario Kart enters quarter-finals

32 contestants have gone in, and now only eight remain.  As we get ready for the Mario Kart quarter-finals this Thursday.  We reflect on how it's been a hard fought tournament.  Well now it's time to see who has what it takes to win!

Race #1: we'll see Stephen "Fence" Post going the laps with Brent "the Turkey" Carver.

Race #2: Matt Lamm "Chops" is staring down Brandon Son of Peter as they rev their engines on the starting line.

Race #3: Seth "in his" Rad-ford (ok, that was a stretch), bringing the heat against Sean "I don't have another sheep pun" Lamm.

Race # 4 James "A pile of pigs is a" Ham-mo(u)nd.  Will seek to destroy Scott "depends on how you pronounce it" DeGooyer.

Good luck to all the contestants!  This race is going to read just like a book about anti-gravity, you won't be able to put it down.  Just like a revolutionary new broom this race is going to sweep the nation.  Remember that if you fall behind in this contest you can mustard up the strength to ketchup to your opponent...

*For the sake of everyone's health the remaining 3 pages of puns have been deleted.  It was bad, and not "Eddie Murphy just released another movie" bad.  More like "Eddie Murphy decided to play all the roles in this movie" kind of bad.  I don't think we need to recount the horror of it.  Just know that it was incredibly painful to read, and reparations to the victims who proof read this will be made.  Thank you.*

(Here is a brief joke that those of you who remember the original Super Mario Bros. will appreciate)

    1. I know she is like the Zen Master of Mario Cart. The winner will have to have an asterisk next to his name. :o)

    3. I paid the truck off to run you over at the finish line. It was quite expensive too! :o)

    1. Thankfully Reece threw a blue shell to kill James right before the finish so I could fly past for the win! Thanks Reece!!

    3. So what you are saying is that you didn't win due to your own skill?

    4. No, my skills are finely tuned to take advantage of all situations that may arise. This time it was unfortunate for you my friend...but victory is mine!
