The Next Big Thing

True to the creative void that is my constant companion, I am unable to concoct a compositional pièce de résistance to proclaim the exhilarating events transpiring ever so quickly here at CPS. In my characteristically accountant (*dull) style I would like to announce the next big thing.

Next week we will be switching to a new income statement format. Some of you may be wondering, "How will this affect me?" The answer is simple--it probably won't. However, everyone should be aware of what is happening in case it actually does affect you.

The new income statement format will be used heavily by Senior Management in our quest for ever clearer information so that we can make the best decisions possible. The new format will consolidate the accounting for freight, outside services (printing, labeling, fluorination, etc.), and warehouse-specific transactions. The changes will go into effect on Monday, July 1. If you see any broken SAM reports, let your director know so they can consolidate the issues and work with Senior Management and IT to get them fixed. And as usual, all compliments can be sent to me, questions or complaints should be directed to Justin.

    1. It's something in French, but I am not so sure it's appropriate for work... :p

    2. Element that is the most outstanding, notable, or defining of the collection or career. Showpiece, highlight or masterpiece. For example, Reeces Peanut Butter Cups are the Pièce de résistance or the candy bar world. Bacon is the Pièce de résistance of planet meat. Bugs Bunny is by far the Pièce de résistance of the cartoon universe. More?

    3. Your both wrong. It's ancient Gaelic and it means 'peaceful resistance' like what Gandhi or Papa Smurf a known for.

    5. Well, I could be wrong, but I believe "pièce de résistance" is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.
