Food Glorious Food - What more could you ask for?" - from the hit musical Oliver! (A distinct effort to bring culture and refinement to these blog posts.)Of course, the food they were singing about was mere porage - and not a lot of it at that. Oliver (an orphan in an orphanage) dared ask for some more and was promptly disciplined harshly for his audacity. Needless to say, Scargie never leaves us wanting for more and they do a fair bit better than porage in my humble opinion.
I will be our privilege to consume Costa Vida on Tuesday, March 27th. We are all very much anticipating another Birthday Luncheon and another chance to wear jeans. Speaking of Birthdays - we have a lot of birthdays this month. You'd think it was spring or something. Check out this list:
- Ryan Allen
- Julie Berreth
- Julie Christopherson
- Sean Lamm
- Keith McCauley
- Galan Merrill
- Paul Merritt
- Todd Waltman
Sean and Galan even share the same day . . . the 30th. So be sure to wish everyone well for being 1 year more senile and decrepit - such a birthday wish will put a smile on their faces.
And as we close this post - I will circle around and end with another song from Oliver.
"Cheerio but not goodbye, you don't know how much I'll miss ya. I love you that's why I say cheerio and not goodbye!"
So with that . . .
Cheerio!
It makes sense that Ben likes musicals.
ReplyDeleteI love Costa Vida and I like musicals too!
ReplyDeleteI too love Costa Vida - but not musicals, and especially not Stephen.
ReplyDeleteGalan and I will both be turning 30 on the 30th.
ReplyDeleteWow two 30s on the 30th...I wonder if you will gain any super powers from the numerology of it all. Maybe if you guys bump fists and on that day you will be like the Wonder Twins and be able to shape shift!
ReplyDeleteWhen I turned 30, my super powers went straight to my gut.
ReplyDeleteCan we have jeans day and spicy food every Friday?
ReplyDeleteMusicals maybe once a month...
Hey what am I chopped liver my birthday is also on the 30th! thanks Ben! But I am definitely not turning 30. That was along time ago! Sean your baby sitter must be nice to let you come to work on that day.
ReplyDeleteScargie,
ReplyDeleteYou should send Todd to pick up the food. He'll be able to use his senior citizen discount.
You are killing me Sean,
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard my dentures fell out.
At least I would not have to ask my mommie to drive me down to pick up the food, and then have to pull out my middle school activity card when they ask for ID for the root beer.
Wow , I see that this new Todd guy is fitting right in - Awesome! Sounds scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome lunch. Thanks CPS for the lunch. Thank you Angie and Scarlett for setting this up.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies and CPS for a great lunch. It was fabulous!
