Congratulations to all of the women of CPS that participated in the 2011 St. Luke's Women's Fitness Celebration 5K. The race was on Saturday the 24th and the route wound around downtown Boise. It is one of the country's largest all women run and they donate to various local charities that benefit women and children. Kudos to Lorna Sylvester for helping organize the CPS team which was named the CPS Sole Sisters courtesy of Brenda O'Neil (no relation to April O'Neil, a reporter that lives in New York). There were 20 people that were registered under the CPS Sole Sisters including employees, family, and friends. "The reason I organized the women of CPS to participate in the 5K was to do something together outside of work," Lorna said.
Scarlett stated that "I had fun getting to know some of my co-workers that I don't usually have the opportunity to get to know."
Julie Berreth mentioned that the weather was perfect on the day of the race and that it was fun to be involved in a crowd that was so upbeat and fun.
If you didn't get the chance to race this year, you might want to check with Lorna again because she is planning on making this a tradition. Congratulations to everyone involved. Look below for a picture of the CPS Sole Sisters.
