This one will hurt you a lot more than it will hurt us ... CPS is happy to announce that we will provide a flu shot free of charge to all employees desiring to receive one. You are NOT required to participate. This is the standard flu shot and does NOT include the new H1N1 (Swine Flu) vaccination.For an additional $45 (you will need to bring cash or a check) you can also receive the Pneumovax vaccination (or pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine for all you microbiologists), which effectively protects against 23 types of pneumococcal bacteria for 5 years.
The Swine Flu vaccination is expected to be released sometime in October or November.
If you wish to participate, or require additional information, please refer/sign up on the form posted on the cork board in the break room. You must sign up prior to Friday, 9/18/09.
